Happy to make your virtual acquaintance. Without taking up too much of your time, I would like to introduce you to my project entitled “ La Ultima Bodega En Soho.” As a long-time frequenter of the Soho/Noho lower eastside areas due to working or life in general, somehow I found myself constantly changing out in a Bodege conveniently tucked away close to Supreme, where it was too hectic to hang out.
After work hours, this bodega became a go-to for the Supreme staff and myself, among many others. Add to that the neighborhood element, and it was quite the vibe. All good things must end, and so did Wavies, as we would affectionately call it.
The book is a collection of pictures, all taken with whatever cell phone I owned at the moment. Nokia, Blackberry, and iPhone 6. These photos represent intimate moments of a community gone now due to being priced out of the space and some people have passed on. -Publisher
