The Japanese Young Artists’ Books Fair is the 8th annual presentation of contemporary artists’ books put on by PEPPER’S PROJECT, a Tokyo-based gallery. The fair includes a wide range of handmade items including artists’ books, photography books, and art objects. The material is on view from February 27 to March 11 at the Printed Matter storefront. Artists featured include Yoko Naito, Yuriko Katori, Misaki Matsui, Fumio Tanai, CHIE, Haruna Yasui, Sayuri Ideno, Yoshiyuki Maeda, Azua Hayashi, and Yoppii.
The Japanese Young Artists Books Fair is taking place simultaneously across three bookstores across New York – Printed Matter, Kinokuniya Bookstores, and Book Court. It represents one of the biggest and most varied assemblings of art books made by Japanese artists in New York City.
Displayed above are materials from the fair available for purchase.
