This material features an extensive collection of artist’s books, pamphlets and print ephemera designed by, or in collaboration with, the pioneering conceptual artist Garry Neill Kennedy. Kennedy – who from 1967 to 1990 served as President of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design – used his experience as an art administrator to shape a practice interested in institutional critique, political and social investigations, as well as appropriated New Yorker cartoons, often with sharp wit and humor.
