AKV Berlin is a non-profit, independently run publishing house founded in 2006. Their publications focus on the major role that the identity of the author plays in the perception of texts and images. Through anonymously working author-groups or collective authors who publish under their civil name, AKV Berlin’s acceptance towards experimental concepts by artists are emphasized. AKV are also involved in programs and projects that go beyond their publications such as performative lectures, and experimental exhibitions, creating a forum for the discussion of art.
