This handsomely-bound artist’s book catalogs 511 designs taken from the engravings on ecstasy pills, one image printed on each page. Following the images and their index is a detailed discussion between the artist and the book’s publisher, Izet Seshivari. The last page unfolds to reveal a dizzying array of the pill-sized designs, embossed in a grid.
As Post writes in the book’s introduction: “You have spread out my logos on the carpet, how impressive! I say ‘my’ logos, but I didn’t design them, I just hunted around for them, collected and copied them. They were made anonymously, and through this compilation, this collection, I became their godparent. I am fascinated by these drawings that have been abandoned by their authors. Usually artists sign their works and safeguard them, but in this case their creations have been parachuted into the jungle, without a radio.”
