Bankrupt 2 is a zine by Theo Strasser and Peter Lyssiotis. This zine takes the predatory credit card industry as its subject matter. Through collage of credit card advertisements with their own intervention, Strasser and Lyssiotis reveal the sinister ways in which credit card companies convince people to sign up at their own expense. The fallacious language companies use, in combination with photographs of people appearing abundantly joyful are vehicles for manipulation and vicious cycles of debt.
Theo Strasser is a painter & book artist who lives in Eltham, Melbourne, Australia. Peter Lyssiotis is photographer, filmmaker, writer and book artist who has worked in the field of book arts for over 25 years. Strasser and Lyssiotis are frequent collaborators and have produced several publications together.
