This publication accompanied Alejandro López’s Hola Humanos exhibition, which showcased his macro photography of moths. The exhibition was held in our workshop from June 6 to July 6, 2024.
In the vast world of moths, there is a particular species known as “witch moths,” associated with themes of death, illness, visits, and luck. We invited writer Lina María Parra Ochoa to write a story inspired by these moths and Alejandro’s photographic work. The design and layout, essential elements of the final product, were created by Ximena Escobar Piedrahita.
The publication’s layout and materials enhance both Lina’s story and Alejandro’s photographs, making it more than just a book—it becomes a collaborative artist book where all three creators share authorship. The interplay between narrative and visuals in the design adds depth, making the publication an immersive experience that extends beyond the photographs and text.
