Spectrum Test [Second Edition] is at once both radiant with color and deepened with dark hues
and shadows. Panayiotis Terzis produces images that cross conventional lines of representation and symbolism; geometric outlines seem to control the flow of the zine’s bright and gushing color, while creatures from a spiritual or otherwise celestial origin inhabit pages with unknown, spatial landscapes. The visual schema present in Spectrum Test is reminiscent of a printing or color system testing; equal levels of high-intensity chroma fill space in an erratic but void-less manner. The result is one of pure optical stimulation; a balance of line weight and
dispersion offsets the disarray of color and texture, elevating each page in terms of its complexity as a visual environment.
