This book begins with Eva, not with the first woman in history, but with Eva Perón, considered the spiritual head of the Argentine Nation.

Pablo Ortiz Monasterio opens with a photo of a public building in the city of Buenos Aires in which a huge metal sculpture of Evita speaks to her people. It is fair that she’d be the first to appear in the book since she achieved something that seemed impossible: she gave Argentine women the right to vote. On September 23, 1947, Eva addressed the “women of her country”, and in a mythical speech in Plaza de Mayo, announced the sanction of the Law of the Female Voting, a historic claim that demanded equal rights and opportunities for women.
