Alice Hutchins: New Old Used, Objects & Collages
“For this exhibition Alice Hutchins is showing two distinct bodies of work: small, editioned examples of the magnetic sculptures for which she has been known for over two decades, and a selection of rarely-seen collages dating from the mid-sixties. Hutchins refers to these pieces collectively as new, old, and used; the recent editions maintain links with the past works by drawing on the same inventory of raw materials and recycled parts, which may be recombined in an infinite variety of ways.” -Barbara Moore
