“Following the instinctive feeling of ‘enjoying the process of plant growth’, my parents embarked on a 5-year farm trip, a farmer’s journey.
In the past few years, they have worked hard every day to build their own small paradise like pioneers, growing together with the land, the sky, plants and animals.
I visited them non-interruptedly during this period and recorded these instinctive years.
Their actions often inspire me from the bottom of my heart, and I hope that you who are reading will get some peace and strength.”
“跟随着 ‘享受植物生长的过程’ 的本能感受,我的父母开启了一场已经长达5年的农场之旅,农民之旅。
这几年里,他们身体力行的日日劳作,像拓荒者一样去建造自己的小小乐园,和土地、天空、植物、动物一起生长。
我在这期间不间断的去拜访他们,记录下来了这本能的岁月。”
“Instinct Time·A Farm Diary is part of a selection of books from Squeeze Sour, a distribution project founded by Lin Wang, inspired by one of Lin’s friends who works a delivery job while making photo books in China. Due to censorship and the cultural environment, self-publishing in China has become increasingly challenging, with fewer supporters. Squeeze Sour gathers China-based creators who rarely have the opportunity to express themselves. Our mission is to showcase these books to a wider audience and also to bring some fresh air to the US self-publishing community. Despite the constraints of our mundane world, I believe the tang of the squeezing process yields bittersweet yet rewarding outcomes.” -Squeeze Sour
